Virgin Beach Bali: Unveiling Serene Beauty and White Sands

Nestled in the tranquil landscapes of East Bali, within the Karangasem region, lies the exquisite Virgin Beach Bali. Tucked away between Amlapura and Candidasa, this pristine destination offers an escape to one of Bali’s finest white sand beaches, adorned with crystal-clear waters.

Encircled by lush green cliffs and swaying palm trees, Virgin Beach presents a picturesque scene of soft white sands and calm turquoise waters. The beach is embraced by two breathtaking hills, Gumang Hill on the left and Asah Hill on the right, offering spectacular vistas that complement the virgin beauty of this shoreline. Facilities at Virgin Beach

As you step onto the shores of Virgin Beach Bali, you’ll find convenience and comfort thoughtfully catered to.

  • Changing rooms ensures you’re beach-ready.
  • A line of charming cafes (known as “Warungs”) lines the shoreline, ready to tantalize your taste buds with local delicacies.
  • Fishing trips and snorkeling tours invite you to explore the captivating marine world.
  • If lounging is more your style, sun deck chairs, complete with umbrellas, are available for rent at an affordable price. Order food from the eateries, and you’ll get the chairs for free.
  • Eateries also provide restroom facilities for a nominal fee of IDR 5,000 per person. (Read our 5 Must-Try Vegan Dishes in Bali! and Best Vegan Restaurants in Seminyak)
  • For those seeking underwater adventures, snorkeling gear is available.
  • Enjoy a soothing massage by a local masseur for less than IDR 100 per hour.

When planning your visit, keep in mind that the beach’s climate tends to be warm and humid. Therefore, don’t forget to pack sunscreen and mosquito repellent – these items are absolute must-haves.

Speaking of mosquito repellent, the warm and humid conditions provide an ideal breeding environment for these pesky insects. They have a knack for feasting on unsuspecting travelers, and trust us, dealing with itchy bites throughout your trip isn’t anyone’s idea of fun. US Organic Mosquito Repellant is a safe and natural option, perfect for those with sensitivities. If you’re traveling with children, we recommend trying out the Cliganic Mosquito Repellent Bracelets as a safe option.

And speaking of protection, consider using Banana Boat Sport Ultra Reef Friendly Sunscreen Lotion. This sunscreen isn’t just great for safeguarding your skin; it’s also designed with the coral reef in mind. Its reef-friendly formulation ensures that your water activities won’t harm the delicate marine ecosystem. So, as you bask in the sun and enjoy water adventures, you can do so with a clear conscience, knowing that you’re making a responsible choice that benefits both you and the environment.

Best Time to Visit

Virgin Beach rests on Bali’s Eastern coast, where the sun rises to paint the skies. The best sunshine bathes the beach during the morning and early afternoon, casting a mesmerizing glow.

It’s worth emphasizing just how remarkable Virgin Beach is in the context of Bali’s bustling tourist scene. Our experience spoke volumes: arriving at 9 am, we were greeted by a practically empty beach, a sight that’s quite extraordinary for Bali’s typically popular destinations. Throughout the morning, the beach retained its peaceful ambiance, with small groups of visitors gradually starting to arrive around 12:30 pm or 1 pm. It was almost unbelievable to experience such a serene and unspoiled beach environment on this island.

For the best experience, plan your visit during Bali’s dry seasons, from April to October. These months promise vibrant blue waters, perfect for swimming and snorkeling adventures.
